Minor League Report: Addison Barger hit a home run, but all four affiliates in action lost on Tuesday

Devereaux Harrison had a good start, finishing with a line of 5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, while Abdiel Mendoza was tagged with the loss, pitching two thirds of an inning and giving up six runs (three earned) to move his season ERA to 4.58. Trevor Clifton pitched two thirds of an inning, walking two and allowing two hits, while Adrián Hernández finished out the game with a line of 1.2 IP, 0 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K.

The Fisher Cats took the lead with two runs in the first, but failed to hit an extra-base in the game. Michael Turconi, Josh Kasevich, Alex De Jesus, Devonte Brown, and Zach Britton all had singles, with Brown and Kasevich driving in the three runs. Every starter actually reached base as well, as those without a hit walk, including Phil Clarke’s multi-walk game.

Vancouver held to just one run

Like the Fisher Cats, the Vancouver Canadians played Colorado’s affiliate and scored in the first inning. However, the Canadians eventually lost 4-1 to Spokane, bringing their record to 14-15.

All of Vancouver’s hits were singles, as Dasan Brown, Jace Bohrofen, Nick Goodwin, Jackson Hornung, Jean Arnaez all had singles, while Jommer Hernandez had two singles, the only multi-hit game for the Canadians.

Pat Gallagher started the game and finished with a line of 5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K with a home run given up to move his season ERA to 4.58. Anders Tolhurst was the first out of the pen, striking out two and giving up two hits in an inning. Naswell Paulino gave up two earned runs, one a home run, while striking out a batter. Chay Yeager struck out a batter and allowed a hit and a walk in an inning pitched.

Dunedin allowed nine runs

It was a rough day at the office for the Dunedin Blue Jays, as they fell 9-6 to the Jupiter Hammerheads to bring their season record to 14-20.

Despite the loss, there were a ton of hits for Dunedin, including Jean Joseph’s second home run, as well as doubles from Yhoangel Aponte and Maykel Minoso. Joseph and Minoso had multi-hit games, as did Cristian Feliz (who had three hits) and Manuel Beltre. Other players with a hit were Victor Arias and Tucker Toman.

Canadian Connor O’Halloran started the game for the D-Jays, finishing with a line of 5 IP, 10 H, 4 ER (6 R), 1 BB, 7 K with a home run given up, moving his season ERA to 3.34. Kai Peterson was the first out of the bullpen, as he walked four batters and gave up three earned runs.

Bo Bonds pitched two scoreless innings where he gave up two walks and three strikeouts, while J.J. Sanchez struck out two and walked a batter in his inning of work.
